Introduction
Systems Analysis and Modeling of Integrated World Systems theme is a component of Encyclopedia of Technology, Information, and Systems Management Resources in the global Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems (EOLSS), which is an integrated compendium of twenty one Encyclopedias.
The systems approach to global problems holds much promise and may be used to gain an understanding of the global processes: social, economic, technical, ecological, and so on. Advances in systems philosophy, general systems theory, and systems analysis that occurred during the second half of the twenty first century, are useful for finding solutions to a wide range of important problems at a qualitative level. The content of the Theme on Systems Analysis and Modeling of Integrated World Systems, with contributions from distinguished experts in the field, discusses several topics in systems analysis.
These two volumes are aimed at the following five major target audiences: University and College students Educators, Professional practitioners, Research personnel and Policy analysts, managers, and decision makers and NGOs.
